Sustainable development: Neptune, the n° 1 environmentally-friendly filtering system for opticians

Working cycle

During the day, when the edger is in operation, a screen that slots into the side of the unit catches the larger residues such as slivers of polycarbonate.
Zone (2) in the tank is where the waste can decant. It has been designed to avoid any form of turbulence. It is kept separate from the pump (p) that feeds the machine's cooling circuit by means of a vertical partition with an opening at the base. Combined with the tapered shape of the base of the tank, zone (2) performs a first-level decantation during the day.

The 50 litres of water decanted and filtered through this system every day enable the edger to work perfectly all day long.
